Let’s keep this simple and to the point. Steve Hargadon dropped me an email asking if I would join him over at Mightybell. A platform his calls “curation and conversation.” And to be fair, it is a good strapline.
Mightybell offers a space to to gather web, video, photo, file, or other resources and have both live and threaded conversations around both a space theme and the individual items. A good measure of voting (assessment) inherent within its design. I thought it might prove a useful platform for pre, during and post INSET as well a research based or project based learning with students. One immediate observation is that the site with hold the content, permit and record the conversation and then, offer a space for reflection or revision. Great for project or thematic learning, say poetry or World War II. The proof of the pudding as they say….. so I created a space for the upcoming day at Wellington Academy that I am genuinely excited to facilitate.
If you are thinking about ICT redesign, feel free to add your thoughts and contributions.
Plus you never know who you might bump into on Mightybell. I bumped into Dan Stucke, who was using Mightybell to curate and promote conversation on Circle Theorems (& Other angles stuff) wit his students.
