I was very pleased to receive the ASCL delegate feedback today. Of the ten delegates that attended my ‘New to the data’ role, 6 rated the session as excellent, 3 good and 1 average. The comments really made me feel that the effort that went into writing ‘Making sense of data’ and the journey up to Wakefield worthwhile.
- Very interesting person, engaging style. Excellent handout.
- Thorough and practical. Ensured clarity and practical techniques
- Good advice
- Reassuring as someone who was feeling overwhelmed. Thanks for booklet
- Interesting. Booklet useful
- It was over fairly quickly, very good. Could have been a longer workshop. Very knowledgeable, knows his stuff
- Good – possibly improved with increased networking opportunities
The booklet is available on the blog somewhere, even though it is still on version naught point something. It will probably have to wait until half term or when this Government ‘moving the goalposts while the games still playing’ GCSE entry policy fog clears. Meanwhile there is a data forum ‘Talking Data’ if you are interested. I have just added a iGSCE and GCSE forum given the changes announced on Sept 29th.
