This afternoon the Wessex Partnership convened our first NQT meeting, bringing newly qualifies teaches from three local schools together to share their journey into the profession. It was a real privilege to meet with the various staff from across the county, to be a part of a relatively modest group of school leaders who see value and benefit in collaborating.
We started with a short video as a metaphor for the year ahead…
We then completed a ‘Find Someone Who…’ sheet to break the ice, followed by a series of ‘Odd one out’ slides.
We make introduction and subject connections and discussed the start of term.
We flicked through the fantastic (if ageing) ‘Movemeon‘
It started with a simple idea: what if elements of teacher professional development could be carried out in small bursts?
Hundreds of tweets – but only a few weeks – later we have this book. It is a testament to power of social networking to produce something worthwhile. Movemeon editorial.
The remaining meetings certainly presents a valuable NQT CPD menu.

My thanks to Juliette Baldwin from drafting the schedule.
An extra late bonus – David Riley had offered 25 NQT Triptico accounts for the remaining 10 months of the academic year. If you are one of those colleagues – drop me a line.
