Last night I have a conversation with a very positive and enthused colleague. We both have an interest in disruptive technologies and most certainly top of the list are apps. I have explored and used my iPhone for learning and teaching from almost days 1. Before we get onto catalyst apps, I still think its great benefit is connectivity and the camera. Add the improved iPhone 4S video quality and the bar was raised again.
As for catalyst apps, apps that speed up learning…. I would be interested to hear if anyone had used
Coaches Eye – PE £2.99 but great value. Think portable, usable sports analysis.
‘Story Ideas’ from Pie Corbett (£.0.69) and Puppet Pals (low cost or Freee) for English
Gaming for Literary
BrokenSword2 gaming for reading – £2.99 but sometimes Free. Keep an eye out.
BUMP – things that go bump in the night (Free)
SnapSeed for Media – image customisation (Free or £2.99)
Ipadio (Free) for Moblogging and Audiocasting, think trips and interviews (like audioboo)
Bambuser – a free visualiser
My only regret is that if an app needs connectivity, I still have address this port issues. I get to it soon. For the time being, its eating through my data package.
