I am a big fan of animation work, on so many levels; the creativity, the storyboarding and sequencing, refining and adapting, to name the first few that spring to mind and I was really pleased to see an animation session available to students as an offering from the ICT Department on our STEM today. One of the Year 8 short animations featured in the Digital Leaders STEM video (that captured the who day) and I was so impressed I tracked sown the original file to share them with you here. All created with a gorilla grab type camera stand, a cheap point and short camera and Serif Movie Plus Software, but do check out Monkey Jam too.
Really, it is quite amazing as to what four students can be created in just 45 mins.
It works really well. Serif Movie Plus then offers students the chance to add effects, timings. It all works really well. ICT Teacher and Workshop leaders Liam Nicol
Very cool but you do end up feeling sorry for the little chap. I think perhaps a sequel with a happy ending is called for. Just goes to show sometimes the right tool for the job is often the one you most like to use .
I do feel sorry for him, every time I watch it he gets flattened. I also felt sorry for Chas, Morphs mate. I will put your suggestion to the creative Yr8s that produced the clip.
