I have been watching, following from afar, a PE colleague who is mixing it up, in a very interesting and engaging way for his GCSE PE classes. In a nut shell he is using a blog to post to share information and worksheets, which he is then publishing or advertising automatically to Twitter through IFTTT, with some success.
…to my amazement [students] are tweeting back with answers to these questions!
The next step is to use a hashtag (eg #PEPriory) so that the conversation is searchable, easy to find and follow, with the added bonus that the conversation can be curated at a later point. And while the conversation is ‘the learning’ the curated conversation can be transformed into a powerful student resource in its own right. Storify is a useful starting point. Get stuck in and mash it up.
