Currently I am writing lessons for our English GCSE Controlled Assessment Spoken Language Study. Having introduced idiolect we moved onto sociolect.
In researching the topic I stumble upon a blog used by an A Level English group, studying and discussing the very topic. I used the student posts to inform our lesson and set questions around their posts.
Finally I used the teacher feedback (with a little doctoring) to create an analytical quiz. Using a Moodle Matching Question and Answer Quiz, I asked the class to identify which ‘teacher feedback comment’ was given to ‘which student post.’
What to give it a try?
Of course I left a comment on the blog. A very lucky class with a very creative and resourceful teacher.
