I will keep this brief but its been bothering me since I accepted my post as Director of E-Learning. The more I read about E-Learning the less I see the need to to define the difference between learning with and without technology, and I am not the only educator that thinks that.
The term ‘e-learning’ has been overused. Technology is now clearly embedded in all modern learning solutions. (Joe Hegarty, Intel Innovation Centres director of business operations.)
After all its not 21st century E-learning is it. So to avoid getting frustrated, I think I am just going to change my thinking on the matter and use term learning with a subtle bolding of the ‘e.’ You may even think that this is unnecessary and perhaps it is, but its a compromise.
